Dr. Naresh Trehan is one of India’s most distinguished cardiac surgeons, with over 50 years of experience in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery. After earning his MBBS from King George’s Medical College in Lucknow, he trained and practiced in the United States for nearly two decades, returning to India in 1988 to establish the Escorts Heart Institute, a milestone in Indian cardiac care.

In 2009, he went on to establish Medanta – The Medicity, a world-class multi-specialty hospital that integrates modern medicine with cutting-edge technology. He currently serves as the hospital’s Chairman and Chief Cardiac Surgeon.

Dr. Trehan has performed over 48,000 cardiac surgeries, introducing numerous advanced techniques including minimally invasive and robotic cardiac procedures. Since 1991, he has also served as the personal cardiac surgeon to the President of India, a testament to his unmatched skill and trust.
