Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rela is a globally renowned liver transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeon. He is the Chairman & Managing Director of Dr. Rela Institute & Medical Centre, Chennai, and is widely recognized as one of the most experienced and innovative liver surgeons in the world.
With over 35 years of surgical experience, Prof. Rela has personally performed more than 6,000 liver transplants, including some of the most complex procedures in both adults and children. He continues to lead one of the busiest liver transplant programs in Asia, performing 300+ transplants annually.
